About Country Farm Holidays

DSC_2487We are a family of five.  All three of our children love animals and petting new ones is the latest ‘must-do’ on their holiday list so farm stays have become a regular thing for our family.  Sometimes we stay in beautiful farm cottages, sometimes camping … with a night or two bed and breakfast to recover!

From initially submitting to our children, mum and dad now enjoy sampling the most locally sourced produce available – and finding out the best walks from the most knowledgeable of hosts.

VB-00019951-001We have our own farm cottages in Northumberland with some ducks to feed and local produce delivered by the local delicatessen, but there’s no substitute for the real thing – a proper working farm.

In late 2013 we created The Cottage Cooperative, which has a number of websites like this one to help guests find the exact type of accommodation they want.  Businesses listed on our websites are owned by like-minded members who abide by a genuine code of advertising and are committed to offering a high quality service to guests.

VB-00024690-001For this reason there will never be hundreds of farms on this website, but as members must agree to our standards before advertising, you should enjoy more peace of mind when booking.  We may well not yet have a cottage, B&B or campsite in the exact area you want, but please check back as membership is growing slowly but surely.

All of the farms in the Country Farm Holidays collection are are listed on this website not only because they are working farms, but also on the understanding that each member must be on hand to provide a warm welcome and offer a good insight into the local area.  Fresh eggs are a bonus!
